    Profhilo is a revolutionary formulation compared to conventional fillers with a kind of biological restructuring function of the skin. Many people are well aware of hyaluronic acid injections and topical formulations, but Profhilo is something completely new.

    By combining low and high molecular weight HA in a single dose, Profhilo exponentially lasts under the skin and hydrates deeper than other formulations.

    The effects of Profhilo and Botox may seem similar to those new to the field of medical aesthetic treatments, but these preparations are quite different. The compounds are made from completely different materials and serve different purposes. Botox is designed to reduce the formation of wrinkles by relaxing problematic muscles, while Profhilo enhances the skin’s natural healing processes through a process called bio-remodeling. The 100% pure hyaluronic acid compound is completely biocompatible and thus does not damage the skin tissue in any way. Profhilo has shown no adverse side effects at all in clinical trials and has one of the highest safety ratings. Patented technology blends two different types of the best hyaluronic acid into a single compound. As a result, the hybrid HA components work together without cross-linking between them. This discovery in itself distinguishes Profhilo from the more limited dermal fillers on the market, but it is only one half of the equation.

    A new method of Skin Bio-Remodeling

    The Profhilo injection process has been carefully designed and clinically tested for maximum efficacy and patient comfort. Each pre-filled syringe should be gently injected deep into the dermis. Following the Bolus technique, your doctor will slowly and carefully inject the active ingredient of Profhilo to minimize tension and irritation of the tissues. Due to its low viscosity, Prophilo can be given with a 29G needle if needed. In contrast to the injection technique used so far, when hyaluronic acid is injected directly into the skin just below the wrinkle, Profhilo injections are given into the face at bio-aesthetic points (BAPs).

    These points have an anatomical structure such that the hyaluronic acid filler injected there diffuses under the skin continuously over almost the entire surface of the face. As a result, fewer syringes, stings and less discomfort can achieve maximum results.

    Bio-Aesthetic Points (BAP)

    Unlike many other dermal fillers and injectable treatments, Profhilo can be safely applied throughout the body. Hyaluronic acid is useful in areas such as the face, neck and hands, but can also be used in the upper arms, abdomen and knees. BAP points are determined relative to anatomical topographic locations to achieve the desired effect.

    In the BAP method, Prophilo is injected evenly at five defined points per side of the face. Each syringe contains 64 mg of stabilized hyaluronic acid pre-filled, which is a much higher concentration than any filler. The treatment takes only a few minutes and can be done quickly, even at lunch time.

    Minimizing side effects

    Many are afraid of the possible pain, bruising of the needle prick and other side effects after treatment. With Profhilo’s innovative BAP technology, the risks are much lower. Similarly, injection site redness and irritation are less common than other injection treatments.

    The whole face concept has been specifically designed to achieve a smoother, natural result, with deep hydration to enhance the skin’s firmness, elasticity and appearance. According to patient feedback, the BAP method gradually improves skin quality over a period of one month and develops its full effect after two months, when stabilized Profhilo hyaluronic acid is finally completely degraded and safely absorbed into various layers of the skin.

    Depending on the degree of aging, patients may choose to repeat treatment several times to preserve biologically restructured skin. Based on the Profhilo treatment protocol, it is generally recommended to perform the treatment twice a year using the previously described and proven BAP technique.
