    Our eyes and its surroundings play an important role in the harmonious appearance of our face. However, over the years, many people lose the firmness and elasticity of ther skin, which expand faster and sag more than others, and therefore develop a so-called ptosis. The upper eyelid curls over the lashes and the lower one often becomes baggy, making the face appear older than it actually is. In the past, the only solution to this was eyelid surgery, to cut out excess skin. Today, however, in milder or moderate cases, it is not necessary to lie under a knife thanks to plasma technology.

    How does plasma therapy work?

    By approaching the surface of the skin the Plasmage device generates plasma energy through electrical discharges, which by ionizing the surrounding air is generating high tempreture on the surface of the skin. As a result, the skin and the collagen in it shrink at that point. This stimulates the synthesis of new collagen, thereby the skin in the treated area is slowly tighten. The primary shrinkage of the collagen of the skin, followed by a significant firming of the surface of the skin reduce the sagging and wrinkling, which again gives the face a youthful look.

    Prior to treatment, we examine everyone at a medical consultation and then provide detailed information about the treatment, its possible outcomes, including possible risks and complications. The consultation usually takes 30 minutes, during which we discuss any issues that arise with our patients.

    Treatment:

    The treatment takes about 30-60 minutes. The treated area is usually anaesthetized with lidocain injection or with a topical anesthetic cream before the procedure, followed by plasma treatment with a Plasmage device. The procedure is usually moderately painful, with a slightly unpleasant burning, hip sensation. Before and after the treatment, a photo of the treated area is taken in each case.

    Redness, swelling and edema may occur in the treated area, which will go away in a few days. The scab or scar on the skin surface heals in 1-2 weeks. It is important that during this time it is not irritated by anything, sunbathing and solarium should be avoided. It is recommended to use a high factor sunscreen to protect against sunlight. The final result will be formed after 2-3 months.
