Lenisna and Juvelook hybrid fillers

Lenisna: A New Generation Biostimulating Hybrid Filler Against Aging and for Preserving Youth

During the aging process, visible changes primarily appear on our skin. Due to the continuously decreasing amounts of collagen, elastic fibers, and hyaluronic acid over the years, the skin’s firmness and elasticity gradually decrease, leading to sagging and the appearance of wrinkles. This process can be reversed with the help of Lenisna filler. With regular application, a youthful appearance can be restored and maintained.

Lenisna és Juvelook

Lenisna hybrid filler contains different concentrations of polylactic acid (PDLLA) and non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid. It is highly effective in stimulating collagen production in the skin and connective tissues, thereby increasing skin firmness.

PDLLA, or Poly D L-lactic acid, consists of biodegradable microparticles that can prolong the effect of the filler for up to 1-2 years by activating collagen production.

It is a biocompatible, naturally derived substance, so it does not burden the body and acts quickly. It replenishes areas lacking volume.

Hyaluronic acid ensures optimal skin hydration, thereby contributing to the elasticity and firmness of the tissues and the smoothing of wrinkles. It fills the space between collagen and elastic fibers.

As a result of the treatment, the skin’s structure gradually transforms, becomes stronger, and appears more youthful.

Lenisna:

Lenisna contains 170 mg of polylactic acid and 30 mg of hyaluronic acid. It is used for treating deeper, subcutaneous areas to restore volume, achieve a lifting effect, and highlight deep wrinkles and folds. Its effects can last for 18-24 months.

Areas of application:

  • Highlighting deep folds and wrinkles
  • Filling sunken areas of the face
  • Face lifting
  • Butt lift

Procedure

Lenisna hybrid filler is packaged in ampoules in powder form. It needs to be diluted 24 hours before the treatment to ensure the active ingredient is evenly dissolved by the time of the procedure.

Lenisna is administered into the deeper tissues using a cannula.

To minimize pain and discomfort during the treatment, an anesthetic is applied.

After applying Lenisna, it is recommended to gently massage the treated area to ensure even distribution of the product (using an appropriate cream can help reduce skin friction during the massage). It is advised to massage the treated area five times a day for five minutes each time over five days to achieve a natural correction effect.

Exposure to sunlight and UV radiation should be minimized until the initial swelling and redness subside.

Possible Complications

After the injection(s), common reactions at the injection site may include swelling, redness, pain, itching, discoloration, and tenderness. These symptoms usually resolve on their own within 2-6 days after the treatment.

Data from the use of polylactic acid and clinical studies have indicated the formation of nodules. Rarely, non-visible but palpable subcutaneous nodules, visible nodules, periocular nodules, or hardening at the injection site have been observed, which could be the result of overcorrection. These nodules may sometimes be associated with inflammatory conditions or discoloration. The early appearance of subcutaneous nodules at the injection site (within 3-6 months after treatment) can be minimized by using proper dilution and injection techniques.

Other rare unwanted effects may include inflammation, infection at the injection site, late formation of granulomas, allergic reactions, urticaria, skin hypertrophy and atrophy at the injection site, angioedema, telangiectasia, skin sarcoidosis, scarring, and skin discoloration.

Taking anti-inflammatory drugs, anticoagulants, or aspirin may lead to bleeding at the injection site or larger bruises.

There is no data on the safety of the product for pregnant women, breastfeeding women, or patients under 18 years of age.
